Marcee and I have been ministering at Calvary Baptist Church for the past 3 years. We are currently expecting our first child in September. We absolutely love the ministry that God has given us and treasure every moment we are able to be of encouragement to the teens around us.

What is your favorite verse in the Bible and why? James 1:22 – “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”—It is through the application of Scripture that I can grow and change into the image of Christ. It is through the applying what I have learned that will lead others around me to Christ. This verse helps me to remember these things.
Why are you a Youth Pastor? I am a Pastor because I absolutely love serving the Lord full time. I am a Youth Pastor, because I love encouraging and helping teens in their walk with Christ. Without even knowing it they help me see areas in my life where I need to grow.
What is your favorite thing about Youth TEAM? I love being able to teach them from God’s Word, what He has taught me. I also love the times like camp, VBS, and mission trips where I get to spend a lot of time with the teens and really love on them and build into their lives.
In what other areas of ministry are you currently serving? I oversee the children’s ministry through college ministry. I also do visitations and help out in any other area that the church needs.
What is one of your favorite hobbies? I enjoy watching all sorts of sports and playing board games.
What is your favorite sport, and who is your favorite team in that sport? Most definitely the Indianapolis Colts.
Would you rather wear a spiderman or batman costume to church on Sunday morning? Why? The most obvious answer is the batman costume. First, the cape would provide some extra warmth if the auditorium is cold. The clincher is the utility belt. This would come in handy to carry my tithe check, pens or pencils, mints or gum, etc.

What is your favorite verse in the Bible and why? James 1:22 – “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”—It’s a great reminder to me to implement what I learn from God’s Word; if I hear it and don’t apply it, it’s useless.
Why are you a youth leader? I love investing in the lives of teenagers for eternity and God has been gracious to allow me to be used by Him.
What is your favorite thing about Youth TEAM? I greatly enjoy building relationships with the ladies in YT and seeing them grow in the Lord.
In what other areas of ministry are you currently serving? I help by serving in 2’s & 3’s, various Sunday school classes, visitation & random areas where help is needed.
What is one of your favorite hobbies? At this point in my life, I would say organizing. (Geeky, I know)
What is your favorite sport, and who is your favorite team in that sport? Swimming – Michael Phelps
Would you rather wear a spiderman or batman costume to church on Sunday morning? Why? Batman – black is flattering & not quite as flashy
