Kevin & Joan will be starting as our newest youth leaders Fall 08. They have 4 teens in Youth TEAM this year from 7th-12th grade. We are really excited for the spiritual leadership that they will bring to our group.

What is your favorite verse in the Bible and why? Hebrews 12:1-2 – “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”—I do not struggle alone. I am called to give up whatever endangers my relationship with God and keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. I am running the race for Christ, not myself.
Why are you a youth leader? I want to encourage young folks of our church in their walk and relationship with the Lord, and to be challenged in my own sanctification.
What is your favorite thing about Youth TEAM? The unity of the youth in our church and the opportunity to evangelize.
In what other areas of ministry are you currently serving? Music, Deacon
What is one (or two) of your favorite hobbies? Music and horticulture (I enjoy planting and allowing my family to serve by caring for the plants, hahaha)
What is your favorite sport, and who is your favorite team in that sport? Mt. Pleasant Panther Football
Would you rather wear a spiderman or batman costume to church on Sunday morning? Why? Probably batman. Red jumpsuits make my complexion look muddy. Black perhaps is more flattering. p.s. Do i get the mask also?

What is your favorite verse in the Bible and why? I Corinthians 6:9-11 – “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor thieves…nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”—Every Christian sins, but because of Christ, our lives don’t have to be characterized by sin. Through the Holy Spirit there is hope for all of us to change and grow in holiness and obedience to God.
Why are you a youth leader? Being involved in the spiritual life and growth of the youth of our church.
What is your favorite thing about Youth TEAM? I’m very thankful for the good friends the kids have in their youth group. I appreciate how the youth encourage each other and hold one another accountable.
In what other areas of ministry are you currently serving? Mom’s Heart Matters, Choir
What is one of your favorite hobbies? Read, swim, walk, cook, and Hang out w/ my kids.
What is your favorite sport, and who is your favorite team in that sport? Mt. Pleasant Panther Football
