Core Verse: Ephesians 5:15-17 – “Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Understanding Entertainment:

Everything God has created is good. This includes our natural desires for creative expressions in the forms of different entertainment. The problem with every good thing that God created, is that it can all be corrupted by sin. Things that God has intended for good, can be twisted by Satan and our own evil desires into something that is sinful. Is all entertainment evil? No. So the real test is whether the entertainment you choose to enjoy causes you to walk with the Spirit or walk with the flesh. So when you engage in entertainment ask yourself this question, “Will this movie/TV Show/etc. help me become more like Christ or more like the world?” Let us see how close we can come to holiness rather than how close we can come to sin.
